We’re proud to support a growing list of approved local charities that are eligible to receive funding through Prescott Area Women Who Care.
If you know of an organization making a meaningful difference in our community that is not yet on our list, we welcome your nomination using the form below.
Local Nonprofit Support
Local Nonprofits Make a Difference in Yavapai County.
We want our members to feel confident about the support we are collectively bringing to local nonprofits and our communities. Therefore, to be considered for our monetary support, we verify nominated charities. Eligible organizations must be established, fiscally responsible, and serve our local residents.
Who can be nominated?
The charity must be a registered 501(c)3 serving Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Dewey, Humboldt, Jerome, Kirkland Junction, Mayer, Paulden, Skull Valley, Wilhoit, and/or Yarnell
The charity must be established for a minimum of two (2) years.
The charity must not be currently involved in ethical or financial litigation.
The charity must designate a minimum of 70% of expenses directly toward programs.
The Nomination Process
1. Nominate
Submit a nonprofit using the nomination form. Nominations are accepted year-round.
2. Review
Our board reviews nominations to ensure each organization meets our elegibility criteria.
3. Present & Vote
Selected nonprofits present at a PAWWC meeting. Members vote for the organization they wish to support.
4. Change Lives
The winning organization receives a $10,000 donation – 100% funded by our members.

We’re committed to giving as many local nonprofits as possible the opportunity to be considered.
Please keep these nomination guidelines in mind:
- Selected charities become eligible again after 18 months
- Members may have one nomination on file at any given time
- Nominations may be submitted by current members only
